Pretty darn sweet

We have a routine, Louise and I, taking it in turns to blog about what we've been doing, making or organising, I usually post something on a Tuesday and Louise rounds the week off on a Thursday.

No, I know you don't need to know these boring details, but what you do need to know is that we were featured in Time Out magazine today! We could not be more excited and I couldn't have a better, ready made post to share with you. Get a sneaky peek here but get your mitts on the magazine itself to see it in all its glory!

Our first crafty little Christmas event has sold out, but we've added another date, Sunday 11 December, so get your skates on and book a ticket, Time Out says (and I quote!) "As sweet a craft event as you'll find." Hope to see you there!

Lights, bunting, action!

Lights, camera, action

Its been quite the Thelma & Louise adventure this week! Selling out for our next event, adding a couple of extra dates to our calendar (details to follow shortly) AND the icing on the cake came as we put on our glad rags and took centre stage for a very exciting crafty-themed shoot. Armed with our trusty T&L prop kit, plenty of bits and bobs, a secret stash of lipgloss and lots of smiles – we were definitely in our element!

Can’t wait to reveal all next week…

It's no coincidence that the venue for our Christmas event is in one of our favourite neighbourhoods. The Mill Co project is where we'll be setting up camp for 'a crafty little Christmas' on 4 December. The map above details some of our favourite spots nearby that you can check out before joining us to make and be merry!

Park life

Louise and I are busy preparing for the Crafty little Christmas get together, planning, writing lists, making, creating and hunting for various materials we need. Mother nature has very generously provided some bits and bobs we're planning on using (and gave me a good excuse to head to the park on a crisp, chilly day and kick through the autumn leaves.)

Have fun!

Presenting afternoons of tea, cake and craft make Louise and I very happy, and the feedback from our debut event was great, proving the crafters we entertain seem to have a great time too. For one friend who desperately wants to have some creative fun a la Thelma and Louise but lives far, far away, I put together a little package to pop in the post. Here's hoping this little bundle of fun dropping onto the doormat does the trick.

Afternoon tea time

On the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of joining Thelma and her sisters for the most wonderful afternoon tea at Dean Street Townhouse. Fabulous company, the most delicious scones, jam and cream, the best selection of cake…and pots and pots of tea.

The perfect afternoon inspired me to dig-out my newest addition 'afternoon tea' from dear frankie and get thinking about sweet treats for our next event Crafty Christmas.  Its beautifully designed, and the collection of tea pots, plates and tablecloths are just as impressive as the delicious recipes!

Thank you ladies for sharing my favourite meal of the day with me!

I'll bring you flowers

Whilst we were cooking up the Crafty Christmas extravaganza we're organising, Louise and I spent a Sunday afternoon hanging out, enjoying tea and scones at the Cake Hole, and scouting locations for future craft events. We then rounded the day off by treating ourselves to some gorgeous flowers from Columbia Road flower market. This was two weeks ago and mine are still going strong!

PS I should probably say that my broadband at home is broken hence the lack of posting, but I've stayed late at the office to make up for lost time ... so that's why there's three posts in a row!

Sweet charity

I spent the weekend with my mum and enjoyed rooting around for some charity shop bargains, enjoying a lazy pub lunch by a big open fire and her digging out some of my favourite childhood books and toys for a trip down memory lane. We then trekked off to a carboot and although I was reluctant, I'm totally hooked! Just gutted it's the end of the carbooting season. Roll on Spring! Anyway, this is a ceramic pot, with gorgeous typography printed onto it, one of the many bits and bobs I found, and I just couldn't help but draw it. It's now sitting pretty in my kitchen (making itself useful holding utensils, not beef dripping!)

Pin up

A little sneak at some prototypes crafty Christmas presents I'm planning to make my nearest and dearest. I'm going to make ALL the gifts I give this Christmas as well as the wrapping, tags, cards etc. And, that's a promise*.

* With the exception of books. I mean one of my home made goodies may well be a book, but equally, I might head to my local bookstore and pick up a novel or two. But that's it. Honest!
